Reflection

I have shown how to create a reflection as part of a photoshop tutorial. This is just  on creating a reflection.
I will be using this free stock image. You will find it here
Step 1 : Use any of the selection tools -- Magnetic Lasso, Pen Tool to cut out the image.
Step 2 : I have turned off the eye icon in the Background Layer.
Step 3 : Press Ctrl+J. Layer 1 duplicates into Layer 1 copy.
Step 4 : Press CTRL+T. A selection forms. Right click inside the selection and click on Flip Vertical.
The image has been flipped vertically.
Step 5 : Hover the cursor over a corner. A small two headed arrow will appear. Use it to rotate the selection.
Step 6 : Click on Layer 1.
Step 7 : Press CTRL+click the New Layer icon. A new Layer 2 forms below Layer1.
Step 8 : The Foreground/Background colors should be set  to the default Black/White. If it is not press x and then d on the keyboard to restore the default.
Step 9 : Press ALT+BACKSPACE. This will fill with the Foreground Color. Layer 2 is filled with Black.
The image looks like this.
Step 10 : Click on Layer 1.
Step 11 : Click on the Add Layer Mask button. A layer mask forms next to the layer thumbnail on Layer1.
Step 12 : Press g on the keyboard. It is the shortcut for Gradient Tool. Drag as shown. If you use this image, it will hold true for it. If you use some other image, drag to see the result you get. If you are not satisfied with the result press CTRL+Z to undo. Try again.
 The image looks like this.
Step 13 : Click on the Layer thumbnail of  Layer1. As soon as you click a tiny white border appears around it.
 Step 14 : Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur.
Step 15 : The Gaussian Blur dialogue box appears. How much blur will be applied will depend on your image.
I have set a radius of 4.7. Click OK.
Step 16 : Press SHIFT and click on Layer1 copy. Both Layer1 and Layer 1 copy are highlighted.
Step 17 : Press CTRL+T. A selection forms. Hover the cursor on a corner handle and you will be able to rotate the selection. Press Enter.
The completed reflection.
